Writing a corporate-film script with filmable images

A script needs to connect the message, the image and the conditions required to capture it. Narration alone can leave the team discovering on set that essential footage is unavailable.

Pair information with evidence

List the facts the audience needs, their approved sources and the images that can explain them. A process, interview or demonstration should have a clear purpose in the story.

In the shot plan, record the scene, action, narration or caption, location and relevant production requirements. Mark permissions, product samples or access arrangements still awaiting confirmation.

Check the plan before filming

Ask the relevant people whether the proposed actions and locations are available and accurate. Resolve gaps while the script can still change easily.

A practical storyboard does not remove room for creative choices. It ensures that the team knows which information must be captured and which decisions can be refined during production.
