Making AI and live-action shots feel connected

The join between production methods often exposes the problem: movement changes, light comes from another direction or the space stops making sense. Plan the transition while developing the storyboard.

Agree how the viewer enters the next scene

Choose a visual or narrative connection and give both teams the same references. Camera direction, movement, light, scale and timing need to be discussed together.

Test the join with the preceding and following shots. A generated image may look strong alone but fail when placed next to filmed material. Avoid making an unstable shot the only route through the story.

Write feedback the team can act on

Name the shot, the point of mismatch and the part that should remain unchanged. A direction such as preserving the product movement while revising the background is more useful than repeatedly asking for a smoother transition.

Review the finished sequence in motion after compositing and grading. If the join still does not work, allow the treatment or production method to change while preserving the intended message.
